The Basics
From Button to Breeze
A retractable screen has a few simple parts. The fabric is wound on a roller inside a slim housing at the top of the opening. When you press a button, a motor turns the roller and the screen travels down along tracks on each side until the bottom bar reaches the floor or its set stop.
Press the button again and the screen rolls back into the housing. The mesh, the roller and the motor are all tucked away, so the opening looks like it did before.
The screen is made to the exact size of your opening. That is what makes it look clean and keeps the bugs out: no gaps at the sides, no sagging at the bottom.
